About The Visitor Center

Located in a beautiful historic Beaux-Arts style building at 297 Broadway, across from Congress Park, the Saratoga Springs Heritage Area Visitor Center is the gateway to the city for both residents and visitors alike.

At the Visitor Center, you’ll find a friendly staff to answer questions, provide referrals, and share a wealth of knowledge. You’ll find all kinds of travel information and information about city resources and attractions. Known as the “Queen of the Spas” in the 19th-century, Saratoga Springs NY attracts visitors to its bubbling mineral springs, racetracks, Victorian architecture, vibrant downtown and flourishing cultural life, and is known for “health, history, horses.”

Discover All that the Visitor Center has to Offer

  • An information center with maps, guides, and informational brochures.
  • A friendly staff to answer questions, provide referrals, and share a wealth of knowledge.
  • “Discover Saratoga”…a wonderful 15 minute video on the places, people, and history of Saratoga Springs.

Find information about travel and community resources. The Saratoga Visitor Center offers wonderful FREE information on Saratoga Springs attractions, restaurants, accomodations, architecture, horse racing, recreation, and self-guided tours… at the Visitor Center.


Discover the city’s heritage through exhibits and educational programs. Find out about horse racing, gambling, and the invention of the potato chip in Saratoga Springs, New York! Visitor Center tours are available by reservation for school and tour groups. And the Visitor Center has an extensive educational program, including a series of “brown-bag” lunches throughout the year featuring presentations on the history of Saratoga Springs and the surrounding region.

Celebrate festivals and special events. The Visitor Center participates in many community events throughout the year, including the Fall Festival, the Victorian Streetwalk Winterfest, Solomon Northup Day, concerts in Congress Park, and much more.

Embrace a sense of community by joining friends, family, and others who share an enthusiasm for Saratoga Springs’ special cultural and and historical heritage. The Visitor Center partners with community organizations and businesses to sponsor community events.
