The National Museum of Dance

The National Museum of Dance opened in 1986 and is the only museum in the country dedicated solely to dance. It resides in what was originally the Washington Bathhouse. The museum features special exhibits as well as its two permanent collections: The Dance Hall of Fame honoring over 30 inductees;and the Washington Bath House permanent installation. The National Museum of Dance also includes a School of the Art and sponsors several community events and performances throughout the year.
